Interesting layout. Great chapters equipment/indoor/outdoor/portrait/travel/sports/weddings(yuk)/studio, etc. Kelby says that he wrote the book as if he were there with me or you and as if he was talking directly to us. Each page is devoted to a single item or topic. Each page in each chapter has a full-color photo of the subject of the page. Want to know how to take the shot he shows on the page? He tells you all the settings: f-stop, shutter speed, light, distance from subject, background, etc. On the cheap? He tells you from DIY to cheap to mid-cost to high-end what to get or use. Lenses? He tells you. Cameras? He describes them and lets you choose. Other equipment? It's all there. And remember that each piece of equipment or each type of shot or each idea has its own page. This is a GREAT set for ideas and recommendations. Kelby is a great photographer so you should look at his websites. He has really good videos too but you have to pay to watch them. So cheat like I do and search for them on YouTube.
